Hobart and teaching

Arrived last month in Hobart and am now resident at Chag Tong Chen Tong Buddhist Meditation Centre at 166 Warwick Street, West Hobart.  It is a lovely location, very close to the city centre, with lots of parking available.  However, we need more students!  All the facilities are here, it has all come together, the place, the teacher, the pure Buddha Dharma, the Holy Wishes of Lama Zopa Rinpoche, so we need to take advantage of all those conditions, because they may not last.....Today is the last day of Ramadam and when I looked out of the windows of the centre this morning, the grassed area was full of cars and the driveway all the way up to the Mosque behind us, full of cars.  This really impressed me, that no matter how busy lives they lead, they put time aside for their religion.  They turn up at the Mosque several times a week, to participate in prayers.  That sense of community, Sangha, makes them stronger and more able to withstand the difficulties of life, I would assume.
I don't want to hear anything negative following this post, thank you!  I just want to be able to rejoice in good people following their religion peacefully and finding their good heart.  Today is His Holiness's birthday and I am sure he is rejoicing that all around the world there are people who are doing good, in their own way, not necessarily a "Buddhist" way.  Bodhisattvas manifest in countless forms for countless beings.  We can't always understand who is a Bodhisattva, we can just assume they are, which helps our minds to see more positive things in our world and to look for the good heart wherever and whichever way we look!
With lots of love, Venerable Namgyel
