Total Inspiration.....

Posted by Picasa

This is a rare photograph of my inspiration, and the inspiration of countless people around the world - His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. For those of you who have had the great privilege of listening to His Holiness teach, or even just to be in the presence of His Holiness, you will understand when I say it is such a warm, beautiful feeling of love and compassion that one feels.

Apart from the warmth of feeling that His Holiness naturally emanates, there are those wonderful teachings on wisdom that I barely understand, but make me feel that I need to study more and practice more in order to fulfil one's aim to be of benefit to all sentient beings.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama is Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche's Main Guru. We are extremely fortunate to be in contact with such rare and Enlightened Beings. Please, if you get the chance to receive teachings from either His Holiness or Lama Zopa Rinpoche, don't even hesitate one second - you will never regret the experience of being in the Presence of True Love and True Compassion and it will OPEN YOUR HEART!

Open Your Heart

Welcome to my new blog, which will be updated periodically as I continue to travel and teach at various Buddhist Centres around the world for my kind and Most Holy Guru, Kyabje Zopa Rinpoche of the F.P.M.T.

Presently (October 2007) I am teaching in Root Institute, Bodh Gaya, the Holiest Place on this planet for Buddhists. Quite an honour and a responsibility - as we have had three courses already, in the short time I have been here. Most of the people attending the courses are new to Buddhist teachings and meditations, therefore it is my responsibility to guide them in the best possible way I can, to learn to Open Their Hearts and relate to all sentient beings in a kinder, more patient and more compassionate way. Throw in more than a dash of Buddhist Wisdom and you have a lot of information to impart in a ten day course.

However, the results are there - so many people say at the end of the course that they have been moved very deeply by the meditations and teachings. I also receive a large number of emails daily from people wondering how to continue putting the teachings into practice in their every day life. Thank you for that. It makes teaching more than worthwhile.

My next stop will be Goa, where I shall be leading a ten day Medicine Buddha retreat and then on to New Zealand for three months. You will be able to read all about New Zealand from December onwards. I have never visited there before, although I was living in Australia, so for me, it will be very exciting and in addition I will be working with a dear friend Venerable Bernice, the new director of Mahamudra Centre.
